Little Pretty Kitties & Puppies were produced by Mattel from 1989-91 and had several different series produced. They had plastic bodies with long brushable hair and tails and each one also had a different symbol (like My Little Pony).

There was also a few playsets produced which came with exclusive kitties of puppies. I don't know of any other accessories produced.

There were four characters produced in the Polished Paws series, two kittens and two puppies. They had glittery hair which when pulled would grow; pull their head hair and their tails would shrink, pull their tails and their head hair would shrink!. They had solid plastic ribbons on their heads which the hair came out of, and also came with a fabric hair ribbon and comb.

Each of the Glitter n' Grows came with a re-issued kitten from the original series, which now had regular length hair.
