Pearlized Ponies |
 |
Baby Pearlized Ponies
were pearly versions of year 3's Baby Ponies.
Some were identical to the originals, while
others were quite different in colour. Baby Moondancer's
name was also changed to Baby Moondreamer. None
had freckles though.
These ponies were offered inside
the "It's a Beach Party" leaflet which
was not available in the UK.
Each pony came with a hair ribbon.

Coat 'n Tails,
later called Tux 'n Tails,
was Year 5's Satin 'n Lace's long
awaited husband. He
was offered seperatly inside the "My Little
Ponyland" leaflet, then again with Satin 'n
lace in the "A Day at the Beach" leaflet
(Year 8), with his name changed to Tux 'n Tails.
Coat 'n Tails
came with nothing but a white bow tie.

Tot |
Li'l
Tot was a special mail order offer for a children's
organisation, Toys for Tots. For every pony bought, one
was donated to the Toys for Tots programme and given to
ill children. I doubt this pony was available anywhere outside
the US. |

| Lucky
the Stallion |
 |
"There's an exciting
new addition to the Pony family. His name is Lucky
the Stallion, the very first boy Pony. And he's
unlike any Little Pony you've ever seen. Lucky
loves to jump fences, run through fields, have
his mane brushed, and his bow tie tightened straight.
And because Lucky is brand new, he's also looking
for a home - and he's hoping it's with you. Lucky
the Stallion should be part of any complete Pony
stable. And because he's such a special Pony,
you can't buy him at any store. Lucky's only available
to Pony friends through this exclusive offer."
Lucky the Stallion
was the very first boy pony produced. He was first
offered in his own special leaflet, then again
throughout year's 7 & 8 along with other special
offers.
He had short hair and came with
a bow tie (in Canada he also came with a comb).
He was one of the few special offers to be available
in the UK, where he was available
much earlier from 1986 (around Year 5).

Ponies |

"The
Playset Ponies are ready for fairy tale fun as they
arrive at the Enchanted Island."
Playset
Ponies offered ponies only previously available
with various playsets from year's 2, 3 and 4. Three
of the ponies remained unchanged (Baby Tiddly-Winks
(Y3's non BBE), Lemon Drop and
Majesty), whilst Sprinkles
had a slight change of body colour (lavender to
pink) and Baby Half Note changed
pose as was non BBE.
They were offered inside the "My Little Ponyland"
leaflet which coincided with Year 7's re-release
of two playsets (Dream Castle and
Show Stable), which no longer included
any ponies (in the US at least).

Llama Friend |
 |
Pony Llama Friend
was only offered in Canada. Originally the Llama
was produced as a special offer for Hasbro's Jem
line (called Rama Llama), but when Jem was cancelled
they were left with thousands of unsold items so
Hasbro decided to offer the toy to My Little Pony
collectors.
She was twice the size of a pony
and came with a pattered blanket and llama shaped
comb.

Mane Ponies |
 |
Pretty Mane Ponies
were made in the Flutter Ponies
mould but without wings. These ponies were offered
inside the "It's a Beach Party" leaflet
which was not available in the UK.
Their hair was two-toned horizontally
and each pony came with a star brush but no hair
ribbons. The aqua in Dabble hair often fades to
white over time.
