| Glow
'n Show Ponies [UK name "Glowing
Magic Ponies" + UK/Euro variation] |
 |
Glow 'n
Show Ponies were the first ponies to glow
in the dark. They had transparent coloured bodied,
similar to the Sparkle Ponies, only
filled with tiny stars and hearts rather than glitter.
They had two-tone horizontally stripped hair and it
was the hearts and stars inside their bodies which
could glow.
Each pony came with
a butterfly brush in the US. In UK/Europe they came
with a comb each (as pictured left).
In the UK
this set was called Glowing Magic Ponies.
There was also one colour variation.

| Precious
Pocket Ponies [UK name "Pocket
Friends Ponies"] |
 |
Precious
Pocket Ponies were unique in several ways.
They were slightly larger than other ponies, produced
in two new poses (one of which was never used again),
and their manes were bi-coloured in equal amounts
with mono coloured tails matching one of the colours
in their manes. Most significantly they only had symbols
on one hip (the left side being left blank). The symbols
themselves were also unique in their design, being
a mixture of a 3D plastic pocket with a printed design
behind. Inside each pocket, attached to a length of
silver thread, was a small plastic toy which could
be taken out.
Each pony came with
a flower brush in the US. In the UK/Europe they each
came with an original comb and ribbon.
In the UK this set
was called Pocket Friends Ponies,
and each pony had a different name from the US release.

| Pretty
Ponies |
 |
Pretty Ponies
were produced in the Sweetheart Sisters mould, although
they were not advertised as being part of that set.
Each pony came with
an original comb. |
|
|
|
| Princess |
 |
Princess
had no resemblance to the previous Princess Ponies.
There were two ponies in this set and neither had
a name other than Princess. They had iridescent tinsel
in their hair and had unique long black eyelashes.
Each pony came with
a tiara, fur trimmed cape and bullfrog brush. |
|
|
|
| Rockin'
Beat Ponies |
 |
Rockin' Beat Ponies
had colourful geometric symbols all over their side
and long hair.
Each pony came with
a guitar they could wear which doubled up as a brush.

There was only one Euro variation

| Secret
Surprise Ponies |
 |
 |
Secret Surprise
Ponies were larger than adult ponies and
had a Keypers style lockable compartment. They had
no symbols but instead had hard plastic saddles which
would swing open at the back when unlocked via the
keyhole on their chests.
Inside each pony was
a "secret surprise", either a plastic ring
or bracelet for the ponies owner to wear. Each pony
also came with a bow comb, a design unique to these
ponies.
In the UK these ponies
had alternative names to the US release.

| Teeny
Tiny Ponies [UK name "Teeny Weenie Ponies"] |
 |
Teeny Tiny
Ponies were the smallest ponies yet and had
curly hair and flattened noses. They would return
in Year 10 as Teeny Tiny Twins.
In the UK this set
was called Teeny Weenie Ponies, and
two of the ponies had alternative names from the US
release.
Each pony came with
either a duck comb or bear brush.
