Snugglebumms were produced by Playskool in the mid 1980's and comprised of babies which giggled when shook, adults which lit up when hugged, pets, bugs, miniatures and books. The babies were 4.5 inches and the adults 5.5 inches high.

They were sold in the UK and other parts of Europe under varying names (none of which really mean anything!):
  • UK: Snugglebumms
  • France: Bum Bum
  • Germany: Knuffelbunt
  • Holland: Troelie Woelies

Snuggle Bugs

Snuggle Bugs had plastic bodies and fur like hair. They all came with combs.

There were at least four different Bugs produced in three different moulds.

There were 3 different pets produced.

Tuggles came with an open carriage to pull one of the Snugglebumms around in (see Playsets).
