Sweet Secret Doll Gems each came with a necklace and hair-clip which they could be attached to. The doll's arms, legs and head were folded inside the gem, which could be opened at the side. After folding out the various parts, the gem could then be closed again. There were several versions of each doll, not just variation in colour but also in shape. This makes them quite difficult to identify without back-card or catalogue images.

There were three original doll gems; Flashee, Gleamie and Shinie. Each one was produced in several different versions as the line expanded.

Animal Gems came with a hair-clip and necklace which they could be attached to and worked in exactly the same way as the Doll Gems. Animal Gems varied in shape, some quite dramatically from the Gem Dolls.

There were six original Animal Gems with one? more added as the line expanded. There were also colour variations.
