Watchimals were produced by Hasbro in 1985/86. They were furry wristbands with animal heads, which when opened up revealed a digital watch.

Alongside Watchimals came Wearimals, pairs of furry animals which could be clipped onto various things.

Series 1 images thanks to Nijirain. Series 2 and Wearimals images thanks to itsaclassic, eBay seller of mint condition, packaged toys from the 1980's and early 1990's.
