Lucky Strike ~ Cigarette Adverts [1935] “I’m your best friend.”

“I’m your best friend.”

These ads for Lucky Strike cigarettes are from 1935. The earlier ads carried over the “they taste better” catchline from an earlier campaign.

“Try me. I’ll never let you down.”

“I’ll never let you down. I’m your best friend. I’m your Lucky Strike. For a friendly smoke – it’s the tobacco that counts. I am made of fragrant, expensive centre leaves only; the finest, most expensive Turkish and domestic grown.”

A large majority of these ads seem to have been in newspapers.
