Strawberry Shortcake :: Plush
"Welcome to the world of Strawberry Shortcake!"
Strawberry Shortcake was produced by Kenner in 1979-1985. and was a series of scented dolls with pets which wore a hat, dress, and stripy socks. There were 21 characters in total, and the line became so popular that it led to the production of hundreds of other products, including video games, sticker albums, clothes, movies and much more. Strawberry Shortcake was re-issued in 1991, again in 2002 and are still going strong today.

Plush pets were produced in three sizes with only particular characters produced in each size.
There were nine small plush pets produced:
- Frappe Frog
- Jelly Bear
- Parfait Parrot
- Soufflé Skunk
- Tea Time Turtle

There were several Rag Doll produced by various companied. The first two original Rag Dolls produced by Kenner had plastic heads (Strawberry Shortcake and Huckleberry Pie), which were quickly replaced by all fabric dolls, of which nine were made. They ranged from 13" to 15". Apple Dumplin' and Cherry Cuddler came with small plush pets. Other plush pets were sold separately (see further down).

J.C. Pennies produced two rag dolls; Strawberry Shortcake and Huckleberry Pie. They were only available through a mail order catalogue and were 14" high.
When Strawberry Shortcake was re-issued in 1991 there were three Rag Dolls produced which included two classic Strawberry Shortcake Rag Dolls and came in two sizes (13" and 16") and the third was a Strawberry Shortcake Party Rag Doll (Berrykin).
