Walter Charles Mayhew was born 6th October 1860 in Kempston, Bedfordshire and was one of eight children. He worked as a General & Agricultural Labourer like his father. In the 1901 census he was more specific about his work, stating to be a Gravel Digger. Walter died in 1943 aged 83.

Elizabeth Finding was born in 1861 in Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire and was one of ten children. She worked as a Lacemaker, as did her mother and sisters. Her father was an Agricultural Labourer. I have yet to find out when Elizabeth died.

Children
Walter and Elizabeth married 12th October 1881 and had seven children, my Great Grandfather being the third. Their first child died aged seven, they could have had more children after the 1901 census.
