Henry got his middle name of Hasker from his mothers first marriage to Edward Hasker. Following in both his parents footsteps as he not only married twice but three times. Henry and his first wife Amy, who was twenty years his senior, had at least one child together (shown in the 1911 census), however on his army enlistment form in 1914 he is noted as married but with no children. Mary was still alive, so this was obviously a mistake. Amy's probate index states she was a widow at the time of her death in 1935, which obviously she wasn't and brings up many questions about why she called herself a widow. Their daughter Margaret and her husband lived on the Gold Coast for several years.

  1. Margaret Mary Elkins (1906-1994), married Edward Eric Worboys.

Henry remarried in 1941 to a Edith Augusts, a widow the same age as him. His second wife died seven years later in 1948 aged 71 and Henry very swiftly remarried only a few months later (still in 1948) to another Edith,  who was twenty seven years his junior (taking after his father again)! Edith Alexina was 43 when she married Henry and they had one child together who was born three years before they married (and whilst Henry was still married to his second wife). Not surprisingly Edith Alexina outlived Henry who died in 1959 aged 81. She died thirty four years later in 1993 aged 88, but never remarried.
