I have a plush that is 100% Polyester Fiberfill.  I dipped a rag in warm water with diluted detergent and gave it a once-over rub.  It did fantastic on the stains (just over a year's worth, nothing old).  However it left a rather nasty musky smell on it after it fully dried for about 1 or 2 weeks.  I have no idea why this happened so o.o.

Anyway, just sharing my experience and hopefully that will help you in some way.

Thanks I will give that a try. It looks like most are light  stains so I will try just a warm rag first and go from there.

Quite honestly I have always placed my care bears in a pillow case and thrown them in the washer and left them in the case and ran them through the dryer with a tennis ball.  I know this may not be the "best" way BUT it has ALWAYS worked for me and I have done this with all of the care bears I own an I have almost all of them!  They turn out wonderful and I have NEVER had ANY negative effects of of doing this!  But I also see it as if I can't get it clean I don't want it anyway so if it accidentally gets destroyed I was a new one anyway, but like I said, this has ALWAYS worked and much better then the soap foam
