Hello!
Does anyone recognise these two little dolls????
She's fully clothed and has a key on a chain around her neck. She has no manufacturer markings.
This one's only marking reads 'Made in Hong Kong'.
Can anyone help??????
-
The first one looks like she has MoonDreamers' hair, but I have no idea who either of them could be.
-
Her shoes look like a ssc mold..love her face.
-
My guess is a dime-store toy, off brand.
-
The second ones feet are cute, the first one is kinda eerie, I think there knock offs as well.
-
They are both a bit spooky! x
-
I have a doll similar to the second she has the same feet I'll try and dig her out she was a thumb sucking doll :)
-
The first doll reminds me of a Furga doll
-
I was thinking Furga too. I couldn't find anything when I googled. But I just realized her body is Strawberry Shortcake too, with the finger raised. Does the head fit correctly on the body?
-
What's a Furga doll???????? Any photos?????
I didn't notice the SSC 'thumb'! I'll go compare her to one of my SSC dolls and get back to you!
-
I dunno why but I really think the heads on those two dolls might have been swapped! The head on the baby looks like a SSC knock off and the head on the SSC style body looks kinda babyish.
-
That is definitely a knock-off SSC body. The mould is exactly the same, except the doll in this pic doesn't have the brand and date printed on her back......
-
Can you try switching the heads? Maybe if they will make more sense with the heads switched around and it will be clearer what they are. If when you try to switch you find the heads are glued on it is likely they were switched since most dolls do not have glued on heads. It looks like someone figured the hair color on the baby would go better with the SSC doll's outfit and vice versa.
-
I can assure you that at least the second one is on the right body. I have exactly the same doll, but with shorter hair and a dress made with different fabric... Here you have mine:

I support the theory that she's a hong kong generic non brand doll
PS: Furga was a doll makers house from Italy, very famous

Oh - you have her twin, that's so funny!!!!
You're welcome to adopt my one if you want........?????
-
My god, are you serious, Laura??? I would be more than happy to adopt the little twin of my doll! You are so really kind and generous and I can't find the words to express how much I thank and appreciate your offer!!! The only problem I see is that you live in London and I live in Caracas, Venezuela... That's way too far... :'(
-
I live in Edinburgh, actually!!!!
Sure, you can have her. If we can work out the postage costs, you could just cover that and have the doll for free xxxx
-
Oh, you are scottish!!! I really love the scottish accent, it's delightful! I sure would enjoy to hear you talk!
Do you have paypal? I could send you the payment of the shipping fee that way... How much would it cost to send the doll from England to Venezuela???
-
Let me get her weighed at the post office and get back to you ;) xxxx
-
I've had the little doll weighed and I'll PM you with the postage costs! xxxx
-
Thank you so much, laura!!! I'll be answering your message in the next minutes!!! :D

It does look really similar, specially the clothes, but there's a couple of details that are different: If you pay attention to the eyes, you'll see that the cup-cake doll has the white part down and the black part up, while mine and laura's dolls have it the other way round: The black part is under the white part. Also, this dolls seem to have legs that allows them to stand up, and our dolls have those gigantic feet that only let them be seated... They have they differences, but at the same time are pretty similar, though! So this can be a good lead to finally ID the little twins!!! ;D
-
First one looks like a Suki Doll to me. Not to sure on that though.
