Title: Who is this Strawberry Shortcake type doll?
Post by: MoonStarRaven on Wednesday 27 October 2010, 05:30 pm
This little doll has had me puzzled for a while now. She is Strawberry Shortcake sized with white (on top) pink (in the middle) and green (on the bottom) curly hair. I found her with no clothes in a bag of My Little Pony's. She has no markings anywhere on her, Although she does have a slightly raised area of plastic on her back right where the made in china mark is found on TNT dolls. The plastic of her body also feels a bit cheaper.

Here she is: Shes the one in the middle of the picture: there's a Strawberry Shortcake on the left and a TNT doll on the right for comparison.

Might this be one of the Totsy dolls? It might be the same type as the pirate one at the bottom of this board: http://ghostofthedoll.co.uk/Forum/index.php?topic=447.0 After looking at the board I'm pretty sure you have a Totsy. :)

If its a Totsy that could explain the multicolored hair since it was probably meant to match a pony.

I'm not sure. It looks like one of the later 90s Totsy dolls... but all the Totsy dolls I've seen are marked.

Do her arms get chubbier at the ends (past the elbows), like the Kenner Sea Wees dolls? Of course it's not a Sea Wee but maybe made by Kenner? Though odd that it wouldn't be marked..
