Title: More Barbies to ID!!!! Is this a Skipper?????
Post by: Lauralovelylocks on Friday 05 November 2010, 10:26 pm
I picked up 2 Barbies and a Shelley/Kelly today - and I would love some ID's, if anybody recognises them.

Barbie 1.

She's an 80s girl. This is a Barbie dress, not sure if it's her original.

Barbie 2.

Her hair's a bit wild! She's wearing white painted-on pants.

Shelley/Kelly.

She has glittery eye-shadow and purple streaks in her hair. She's also wearing a little pink headband with a bead in it.

Kelly doll is one from the Magic of Pegasus.   There were three different dolls, each with a different colored pegasus.  This one came with the purple pegasus.

Looking through my Barbie books I'm thinking she could be 1982 Sunsational Malibu Barbie.  Does she have a tan?  The face looks similar and has the right arms. Might also be 1984 Great Shape Barbie, or she could be one of the many "Fashion Play Barbies" from 1985 but she was from Canada or the "Fashion Barbies" from Canada or Europe.

Those are my guesses. I could be way off on who she is. :)

Thanks for the Shelley/Kelly ID!  :-*

Hmm.... it could be Great Shape Barbie.....

Nope, she doesn't have a tan.

I'm fairly positive the second doll is a more modern barbie. They softened her features later on in production. The Skipper dolls were generally a slightly smaller build of doll
