This is a pretty long shot, but I thought I'd try. When I was little, I had a friend who was half-American, and she always had the coolest toys. One that I liked a lot was a strange biro that, when folded right, turned into a dog at one end. It came with an equally strange house. If I recall correctly, the house was pink and the biro / dog thing was blue. It must have been produced in the 80s or maybe the early 90s, but not later. Does anyone have an idea what I'm talking about? Thanks!

Was it Doubles by Mattel?

No idea what it was called. Do you happen to have a picture?

No, I'm afraid that's not what I have in mind. The toy I meant was slimmer, made of thinner plastic, for older kids, I think.

I've IDed it myself, just now! I was talking about the "Let's write Kitty" set from Sweet Secrets. I've seen a picture, and it looks just like what I remember my friend owning.
