Hello--I'm new here.  I found this site when googling Mimi & the Goo Goos.  (I'm the owner of the Mimi and the Goo Goos fansite).  I was thrilled to see the scans of "Suzy" and the Goo Goos.  Thanks so much for posting those!  I had been told by someone that they had originally been called that, but this was the first time I had proof :)  I promptly went on eBay and found a relatively reasonably priced 1995 Girls Toy catalog from Mattel, and it is on its way.

I would love to see the scans of Lucy Locket when you get a chance.  I bought one of those on eBay years ago--it is so cool.  It is in fairly rough shape, and I always wondered what accessories it originally came with.  Lucy is a bit scary looking--and mine even more so because her skin has discolored in a very odd way.

I was also wondering if Mimi and the Goo Goos are in the 1996 Mattel catalog at all.  There is only one on eBay right now, and the seller has not responded to my question.

Thanks so much!  Lisa

That's really nice of you, @EdenEye--no hurry!  Thanks too for the information on the 1996 catalog :)

Thanks for the Lucy Locket Flickr links, @mouse!  I'd forgotten about the Dream House.

I got an new cataloge today! 1992 Mattel Girls Toys. This is my favorite catalogue so far because it's got most of the Barbies I remember having or playing with as a child. It's very excited to see these beautiful dolls again and so perfectly photographed! This Catalogue has Sun Sensation Barbie, Totally Hair Barbie, Snap 'n Play Barbie, Rappin' Rockin' Barbie, and Rollerblade Barbie. There are more but those are my favorite and most memorable Barbies.

Also includes Barbie Pets. Rosebud the Horse, Honey Kitty, and Sachi Puppy.
Also includes Barbie vehicles and furniture/playsets like Barbie Porsche Cabriolet, Barbie Ferrari, Barbie Magical Motor Home.

The Shani doll I have never heard of before, but she is very pretty just like barbie. Definetly a series geared towards African American girls as Shani and all her friends are either black or hispanic. :) She's got a gold corvette and her boyfriend looks like Arsenio Hall! Lol.

The Beverly Hills 90210 page is weird. The wording is advertising the dolls, but no dolls seen. Just pictures of the actors.

Peppermint Rose has a beautiful art spanning 2 pages. Then it shows the 3 girls as orinally sold and also dressed in different clothes. Then there is the Sweet Sprays and Candy Blossom bunnies! Makes me want to collect this line, I never realized how nice it was.

There is a very clear picture of each of the Popcorn Pretties including the impossible to find Patti Peach!

My Watchdog is so cute and I never heard of this toy. It comes in either pink or blue and has a flashlight in his paw and a police siren on his head. There are more features and it was meant to help kids feel safe.

Hug 'n Surprise - cute little brightly colored teddies that hold special surpises in the little "capsules". Another toy I have never heard of, but I love surprises.

Lots of gorgous Magic Nursery pictures! I love this toy line! Picures of tiny wonders babies, Color Change Pets, new born babies with real sweet baby sounds and adorable new faces (were these released...no idea), fashions and love bundle (new type of packaging with baby hidden inside).

I`ve heard of Rollerblade baby.....but never Rollerblade Dude. The boy version of this doll that was probably never made. There is a major flaw. In the picture, he looks like he is actually wearing ice skates not rollerblades!

Lil Miss Jeweled Princess (the name I always knew was Lil Miss Magic Jewels). Same doll but the crown, comb, jewels bracelet and wand are very different then what I have in my collection. The jewels are in many different shapes, I have only seen circles. But I wouldn`t be surprised if you could buy additional jewels separetly for the doll.

The PJ Sparkles pages show the 4 soft dolls (plus one African American version) and horse. Also a cute crown bed for the soft dolls that turns into a crown for a child to wear. Starbrite Sparkles in also shown. She was the only one I had as a child. :)

I`ll be scanning pics of my favorite stuff to share with you all, but if there is anything in particular you would like to see just let me know. In the first post, I listed everything in the catalogue.

Yes the peppermint rose bunnies (both plush and plastic) are adorable! I have one of the plastic ones and it's actually a container (would've originally had perfume in it) I got mine recently and never saw them as a child so I don't know what it would've smelled like originally - now it smells like musty inside of oldplastic toy!
