This is a major long shot!!!!
I found a photo of me when I was 4 (1985) with my Christmas toys.
There is a boxed Flower Fairy, and under that box, there is a small section of a Barbie box poking out.
I would love to find out which Barbie it is!!!!!
So I have made this terrible picture:
So..... the box is pink, and around the doll window is blue, white (?) and purple.
The old red Mattel logo is in the bottom corner.
All that is visable in the box is white material (a dress?) with something pink on one side, on the dress. The peachy colour seems to be the inside of the box.
Any ideas? (or is that a silly question????)
I don't think it's My First Barbie, as the dress in this box seems to be longer.

Could you post the original photo? I think that would make it a bit easier so we can see the fabric on the dress and such.
Good luck,

One Barbie that came to mind was Peaches & Cream Barbie
They did make a reproduction that you can buy.
Hope this helps.

Is it upside down? It should have Barbie or Ken or whichever doll it is across the bottom. Maybe it's a fashion set?

No, I can't post the photo - the Barbie box is tiny in it, the photo's dark and I had to examine it for ages to come up with this drawing!
Don't think it's upside down - the mattel logo seems to be the right way up, etc.
Not Peaches and Cream - there's green around the doll window on her box, not on this one.
I'm in the UK, so it could be a Euro version of a Barbie (just to make this even harder!)

Most of the dolls from that time had "Barbie" "Ken" etc written in big letters across the bottom. From the drawing you posted, you should definitely be able to see that. Huh. Odd that yours doesn't have it. Maybe it was less common for the non-US dolls?

I can't help with the id but that totally brought back memories to me. I used to have that Barbie! I might still have it somewhere in my dad's basement. :)
