Title: help Iding alien/bug toys

I bought these two awesome toys in maybe the year 2000? I got them while going on a trip to NY state. Unfortunetly i cut off the tags :(

I was wondering what they are called? does anyone know?

the more i look at them the more they remind me of Axel Scheffler illuststrations
