I just saw this pic on an auction. The one I need Id'd is the one in the back. She is black but has daffodil's dress on. She even has the features of daffodil (rose petal place) yellow hair green eyes but is dark complected. Any ideas on who she is?
Thanks

I think it may just have a stained head, if you read the listing it says they need a lot of care and if you look at the dolls arms they are a Caucasian complexion. Although I could be wrong

I just seems so evenly colored in the head? I don't know any doll that has gotten that dirty and looks that dark. But you are probably right.

I got so curious myself I sent the seller a message so we will see what they say!

I also sent a message tonight. She probably is wondering what's up.

haha, oops!! :-) Didn't mean to be repetitive!!

not sure if she really helped:
She looks more white than african american. She has green eyes. I wiped her face and little but of dust came off but she is still alittle darker than the rest.

This was my message to her:
I was just wondering about the doll on the top row, second in from the left in the yellow dress- Is she an African American doll or 1 whose head has been died? It looks like daffodils face and dress but she was made Caucasian so I was just wondering if you could give me more details? I think I see in the picture that she has Caucasian arms? Thanks
Maybe she is a rare factory mistake?

I am thinking factory mistake myself. She is just too dark to be just stained or dirty. Notice the difference with the arms and the other dolls next too her. I think only her face is darker not her body.

I don't think it's a factory mistake. I also don't think she's just dirty. Looks like some kind of weird aging defect to me. From my experience- RPP doll heads age differently. Some are really soft and rubbery while some are hard as a rock. Some are shiny and some seem almost chalky in appearance. So maybe she just aged in a weird way or the plastic was exposed to something.
Anyone win the lot?

That would make sense.....I did not bid, I am TRYING to focus on 1 collection at a time ;-)
