My Baby Sis Oh, Baby! Katy & Betty
"I just love helping take care of my new baby sis Katy! Could she be any cuter? Not a chance! Katy likes to take snoozes in her cozy purple and pink carrier. When she awakes, "Waaa!", she'll scream your ears off. Yikes! A bottle and food make her gurgle happily again. (You wouldn't believe all the food she gets on her bunny shirt - more than in her mouth!) Once, Katy got squash all over my green skirt, so I changed into my big sis T-shirt and yellow shorts. Soon, after, uh-oh, time for a diaper change! (Peew!) Good thing I have plenty of baby powder and my handy, dandy baby-help book! She loves it when I put beads in her hair like mine. ( I put beads on her key ring too!) Helping take care of Katy is hard work but always a blast! I love being a big sis. "

I wasn't even aware that there was a redesign (like "Mermaid Madness" and "Go-Go Glam" above). It was most likely a very short-lived one.
Does anyone know when the original generation stopped production? I remember seeing one of the two-doll packs in a Walgreens as late as 2004 or 2005 (and I have an awfully strong feeling it may have been "Hittin' the Slopes"). I certainly don't remember a Lizzie McGuire promo being attached as there is in the photo here, but that show's run was from the early to mid 2000s, so it's possibly a clue.
