I dug through a bin of 80's and 90's toys at a flea market and came out with this little PVC elephant figure, among other things. There were a lot of McDonald's toys, Cabbage Patch figurines, and Strawberry Shortcake minis in the mix. I can't figure out what this particular toy might be. It kind of looks like it might be a prototype of something. I took a picture of him alongside a Care Bear Cousin for size reference. There aren't any markings.

Bump. Am I allowed to bump? I'm sorry if I'm not :(

It is so cute sorry if I can't help or anything kind of looks like a prize from something like a cereal box or a random gumball machine prize. I am kind of in love with it right now because elephants just happen to be one of my favorite animals.
-
Haha I'm glad you like him! I do, too. Even if he's a poor, no-name elephant. I think I'll call him... Herbie. Or something.

He reminds me of a "Heffalumps & Woozles" from Winnie the Pooh, the way his trunk is a bit stouter than a normal elephant. No idea if they even made heffalump toys that were small and plastic like that, or if he had anything to do with that. I looked a bit and didn't see anything. But that's what he reminds me of.
Here's a vintage Heffalump and Woozle toy:

How long has Chuck E. Cheese been around? Looking at the elephant got me into thinking about the prizes from there. Is it possible that is what this toy is from?
-
They've been in the US since the 70s.
According to the wikipedia since 1977.

Woah, I never thought about a lot of those things. When I found him, he was in a box with a lot of the oooold McDonald's toys, SSC and CPK minis. I thought maybe he'd have something to do with those, but he probably is a prize from something.

Could it be a little figurine from a zoo?
-
Possibly....
-
the way his trunk is wrinkled at the top looks odd, as if it's meant to fit into or hold onto something.

Okay I found this hope it helps.
