Title: [ID: Strawberry Shortcake "Butter Cookie"] Who is this little ssc baby?
Post by: kiddy2468 on Wednesday 10 October 2012, 11:48 pm: I have found an old strawberry shortcake doll and I believe that she might be a baby. She has yellow hair and a yellow bonnet that is kind of ruffly with green stripes on the back. There are freckles on her face and her eyes are green her dress has yellow sleeves and has little yellow flowers I think against white. The back of her head says this: AMERICAN GREETINGS CORP. 1979. I have been trying to take pictures of her but well I kind of suck with cameras so I am going to try and find a picture of her and see if anyone recognizes her.

Okay she is the one in the middle with the bear in front of her so please help. And also just how rare is she? What is she worth?

No idea about the rarity.

Post by: kiddy2468 on Friday 12 October 2012, 08:50 pm: Yes! That is so her I looked her up and yes it is her thank you so much. But her head says 1979 on the back yet she came out in 1981 that's kind of weird unless its another dolls head on her body.

Post by: ianthe99 on Friday 12 October 2012, 10:14 pm: The date is just the date that the mold was made. Looking at my SSC dolls, it looks to me as if all of the heads on the babies are the same mold.. and the line started in 1979 if I remember right.
