Ok, when we were kids, I remember my cousin had a soft toy lizard which was inside an egg. The egg was a pale green and, I think, the lizard itself was a mixture of brightly colours/had brightly coloured limbs. You could take the egg apart so you just had the lizard if you wanted, and it was easy to put it back in. It was quite small, maybe a little smaller than a beanie baby.
