Hi ya,
I have been looking for a teddy bear on ebay for quite some time, which I owned as I child, but without success, as I do not remember his name or what brand he was.
I live in Germany, but I am very sure he wasn't made by a German brand.
He was made of nylon, much like the Puffalumps, but he definitely wasn't a pufflump and intended for older children.
I got him in 1988.
The color was red with really bright, almost neon yellow paws and nose.
He was approximately 25 cms tall.
I remember not liking him at first, because the nylon wasn't very cuddly, but later I absolutely loved him.
I have attached a picture, but unfortuntaley he's lying with his face down on the birthday table. The small picture is of his paw. Sorry for the miserable quality, the pictures don't do him justice at all.
Any help I would be really grateful for. Thank you very much in advance.

I found several puffalump bears that look similar on ebay, and was curious if they might be the same brand as your bear:

I hope this is helpful.

Thank you, that's really kind :)
But I am sure he wasn't a Puffalump. The puffalump bears were all pale in color and looked as if they were made for very young children. Also I think they came in some packaging/cardboard box, whereas mine had no box.

I guess it's really like looking for a needle in haystack :-\

Can it be this koala yellow and red ? ???

thank you : )
the colours are quite similar
but he was definitely a teddy bear, not a koala bear
and he wasn't made of plush, but of some kind of nylon/parachute balloon silk material like the puffalumps

Although I know that this bear isn't him, since it isn't made of the same material, I was curious how closely your bear might have resembled this vintage plushie bear:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-RED-YELLOW-TEDDY-BEAR-SITS-LOVEY-SOFT-PLUSH-STUFFED-ANIMAL-TOY-10-/370708359919?pt=Stuffed_Animals_US&hash=item564ff0aaef
If I may ask also, BTW, did your bear have embroidered eyes or plastic ones?

@ iheartkatamari
Sorry for taking so long to reply
He was quite similar i'd say, although his face was shaped slightly different and his body was all red with no yellow.
As for his eyes, unfortunately I can't remember. I was about ten or eleven when my mum gave him away and I have no picture of his face.
So I guess that's not very helpful

Some potential possibilities for his maker might be either Fairview or TB Trading; I was wondering if this monkey might look similar:

Another possibility that just occured to me also is Stuffins; he isn't the same color, but I was curious if this bear looked right otherwise:

hi,
not much like both of them. Also the stuffins brand tag doesn't look familiar at all,
so I think it must be a different brand or no name.
But thanks again for helping, it's very much appreciated :)

Potpourri Press might be a possibility, too. This bear isn't the same color, but I was curious if she might look similar:

Also, this Gibson bear, while also not the same color, might be similar:

Thanks for continuing to help, that's really kind :)
He looked much more like the first one, the brown one.
Since nobody recognizes him, he might well have been a German brand or no name.
