Title: Wacky Pet Keepers - Sonic (2005)
Post by: zuse on Saturday 01 May 2010, 04:39 pm: So, a few years ago at Sonic their "Wacky Pack" toy was little pets in carriers.

I just thought they were the cutest thing (especially with my vintage LPS obsession).

I think I also have the turtle and dog loose somewhere that I bought at a later time.

Anyways, I've also come across Sonic carriers identical to these but in different colors. They also have a tiny little name tag attached to the keychain. So, were those an earlier version? Did they have PVC pets as well? Sonic web site only has the most current toy line. :(

See how the keychain is different? And it was on eBay, so I don't know if the ferret figure came with it or that's just how they divided up the toys for a lot...

So, I found some of my other pieces. Here are the other two carriers from 2005

And on to the mystery of the other style of carrier! I have two! Instead of reading "2005" on the bottom, these say "2001 ADIT." The newer ones read "2005 ADIT."

Also, I believe they just recycled the pet figures

The top one reads (C) 2001 ADIT Made in China, while the 2nd one (2005 release) simply says "Coney." That's the name of the dog character. So, I think I've solved that mystery! I definitely like the color cheme for the 2005 release the best!

Post by: Tribble79 on Saturday 01 May 2010, 06:00 pm: AWWW I love these. I would have been all over the ferret when I still collected ferret stuff. I have since sold all of my ferrety collection. I might still have to have this one. I love that it comes with a little carrier.

Pretty sure I have the cat from the line somewhere too, but didn't find mine in time for the picture...it's white with red stripes and a red hair bow, and kinda shaped like a Roomba with legs and a tail. ;) Ooh, here, found an eBay pic of one:
