I am looking for help IDing a teddy bear from the mid to late 80's (I got one in 1985). The bear is definitely not Ruxpin. It was a plush with a heart on its chest. When you pressed the heart, it would record its surroundings and play back.
Any ideas what this bear is called?

I have a bear from my childhood that I have had since the mid 80s. You pressed its paw, the heart on its chest would light up and record your voice and play it back. I still have it pictured here:

You can hardly see the heart in the picture but its to the left of his chest. Is this the same as your bear??

Yes!!! OMG. This is the bear. Is it yours? Do you know the name of it? Is it for sale? I hope I can get some more information on this bear.

I remember these bears being advertised in magazines in the early 90's.
They were mail order. Think they were also available in yellow.
(edit - the magazines wern't high end catalogues. The ads were in free tv guides in the Sunday papers)

Yes this is my bear. I have no idea what the name of it is, on its tag it has written Made In Taiwan. There are no other markings on it. He has a white zipper on his back where the battery goes. I remember my father getting myself and each of my cousins each one of these bears. I'm imagining he got it from somewhere like the local markets or something, not a high end catalogue!! Where are you based?? I'm from Sydney, Australia.
I think this bear is a rip off/fake of the 1985 Tattle talk Friends Bear.

Thanks for the information. It got me really far in my search for nostalgia. Lol.
I'm in the USA (east coast).

The one that I got has a tag that says:
Emson (both "copyrighted" and "registered")
Style No. 4S28G
100% all new acrylic material
RN No. 19760
2A Reg #347
Ohio #7791
Made in Taiwan
R.O.C.
(I'm not positive about all of these numbers and letters, because some of them are faded.)
Also, to the person who started this thread, I sent you an email to your gmail account. :)
