"Gorgeous Creatures were made by Mattel in 1979/80. Four styles of dolls were issued, which included one with a pig's head and blonde hair and magenta colored gown, one with a cow's head which had dark brown hair and a blue gown, one with a horse's head which had blonde curls and a silver dress, and one with a hippo's head which had red hair and wore a yellow jumpsuit. They were smaller, curvier animal versions of Barbie, measuring 7 1/2 inches high. No clothes or accessories were ever produced for these dolls although they did come with matching hats, gloves and a picture of their "boyfriend." Each also had a theme and a scenic box."
