Title: "Looks Like Me" Ages Doll Line Mid-1990's
Post by: AquilaLorelei on Wednesday 17 May 2017, 10:13 am
This was (I believe) pre-American-Girl getting into the "dolls that look like me"/customizable doll concept and this particular line had--uniquely, and this is why I remember it so well!--dolls that matched the girl at every age; baby, toddler, girl and teen and I remember having all of them.  I specifically remember having gotten the "teenage" and "baby" age dolls at Toys-R-Us when I was about nine or ten (this would have been in the mid-1990's, my grandparents were still alive and they bought them for me).  Ergo, they clearly would NOT have been American Girls, which is what stumped my collector friend.  The teenage doll was wearing a beautiful tulle turquoise dress, I remember distinctly.  Any help identifying this line would be greatly appreciated!

Always Sisters?  There's a page for them here.

Bumping this up, no not the Always Sisters.
Maybe something "American-girl-esque" but too early an era to be Welly Wishers.  Still on the hunt, then!
