Title: Toy that smells like smoke 2

I just got a toy that I ordered today it is a  hard plastic toy not a soft plastic toy like barbie. How do I get rid of the smokey smell  ???

From what I've googled, try scrubbing it with nothing but vinegar and letting it air dry.

I've also read that you could try putting it in the dishwasher but I would be very cautious of that because of the heat, and I don't really know how they work.

I hand washed a ceramic tea set with just soap and water and that worked. But some of the pieces had to soak for a while. If you can soak the toy in water and soap try that.
