When I was a little girl, I guess this was the early 90's there was a line of dolls. I do not remember what they where called nor do I remember much about them as I never owned one. In body form they resemble Barbies, in that they where ridiculously thin dolls with big assets, but they where smaller, about 19 cm or so. There where cloths and play sets available for the dolls and they where presented as a alternative to Barbie only smaller. I have no pictures of the dolls I am afraid. Do anyone know what these dolls where called?

Hmm, sounds like Dazzle Dolls or Glamour Gals:

(images from ebay)
I believe the two lines were released about the same time and competed. The most distinctive difference is that Glamour Gals have molded clothes whereas the Dazzle Dolls are very Barbie-like and dressable.

It could be the Dazzle dolls but reading up on them they seam a little to small also in the doll series I am talking about there where also boy dolls, and playsets like vans. Face like the dolls looked at lot like Steffie dolls if they had those where you live. Thank you for the help by the way.

Was it Pamela love? Someone else was trying to find small fashion dolls and they turned out to be these:

Oops, looked at the ruler wrong when I was converting to inches :P What about Starr Dolls:

They are still smaller than what I think you are describing (they are about 6 inches tall) but they have, erm.. Barbie assets :P
There are also Family Corner dolls which are a little taller (about 7 inches):

They don't have quite the figure of a Barbie, but they have boy dolls (and babies that come with).
I can't think of any line of dolls in this size with a van though... tricky!

It could have been the Pamela Love dolls, but they still look a little to small but it could have been those, thank you.

Hey anyone know if the doll on the right (yellow/gold dress, blonde hair) is a Dazzle doll?

So 19 cm is about 7.5 inches.
Is it a "Happy To Be Me" doll? I think they are too large but I wanted to check just in case.

Or maybe "Cassy" dolls? They're 7 - 8 inches tall; got the idea from Nappercasper.
They seem to have thinner extremities.
