I am looking for the identity of a doll. A dear friend is expecting her first granddaughter and is devastated that this doll (which was her daughter's as a child -- the same daughter who is now pregnant) was mistakenly disposed of because she had always planned to give it to her first granddaughter. Here is the description as she gave it to me:
**It was a soft pink doll, all fabric, and washable. She had a pink outfit, pink hat with a white underbrim that had dots or fruit on it. The doll had blonde/yellow hair. It was from 1990 or 1991. The clothes were not removeable, and she smelled like a fruit. There was another doll, identical, but in blue that my niece had. I know it was not a Strawberry Shortcake doll, those had red hair. I have looked for days, then finally told my daughter and she has been looking too.**

Hmm I had something similar when I was little. I am a twin and I had a pink fabric doll like this and my sister had a blue one. Have her take a look at this photo and see if it rings a bell to her.

These were made by Cuddle Wit in the late 80s early 90s.

Thank you so much. I have sent her the link and am keeping my fingers crossed this is the one.

Supposedly it's by the M.A.D. Trading Company.

That's kind of creepy how they're all lying on their backs the same way in the photos! LOL! Are these in the states or in Europe? I certainly never had one.

I'm in the US.
