First, this dress. It is genuine Mattel Barbie. I know that it was sold separately from a doll:

Secondly. I got this in a lot. I do not know 100% for certain that it is Mattel but I SWEAR that I had a Barbie outfit that had this exact piece. It might have been a different color but I think it was pink. Any ID's for this piece or similar pieces in other outfits would be appreciated. :) I'm trying to remember all my childhood Barbie pieces (this isn't just "what is this random thing I found"). :-P

I have a pink jacket like that. I got it in one of those large Barbie fashion sets that comes with 3 pairs of shoes and about 6 dresses.
There are some on this page.

Hmm. I suspect that as well but I still haven't seen a picture of a set with my items.
It would have been from the Barbie Pink Stamp Club era. I had some packs of cards and pink club t-shirts for my Barbies. :D
-
I feel like I also had an outfit like the pink one on the very very left. (But maybe in a different color).
I remember the off-the-shoulder pale pink top and the laciness?
The sets seem to be put together and not random and I know I probably only got one if this is what I had. And I didn't have the other outfits...

My set came with a peach and silver princess style dress with bows on the shoulders, a silver bolero jacket, a white tube dress with pink, purple, and blue splatters on it, and a halter dress with a pinkish bodice with a striped metallic skirt.

I found some of the other outfit pieces from my set. Do any of them look familiar to you?

Nope. :(

I recognize the atrocious shirt because my sister had that doll...unfortunately the name escapes me...

Here's another. This dress is genuine Barbie. I can't seem to find which one it was?

I received it the same time I got one of the Active Wear Fashion sets for Ken.

Oh, yay, I think I found it now that I rechecked?
It was from one of the many "Bridal Collections" (1990) - #779-1

Now to identify the fashions...
-
I checked my Mattel catalogues - 1985, 1989 and 1990 and I didn't see either piece. My gut says the denim trimmed one is a Skipper fashion from 88 or maybe 87 - don't remember acid wash being popular before then. Sorry I can't get more specific than that.
-
I'm pretty sure it is for 11 1/2" Barbie - it's open in the back. Here's one being sold on eBay:

Cool times Barbie comes with a pink jacket just like that but yours looks like its a different material.

Okay, haven't found a MOC picture yet, but I'm thinking it HAS to be from the 1989 "Fresh 'N Fun Fashions" line.
Same color scheme, same ruffles, same blue "denim," same artwork...

I'll probably see a group picture of it when Wishbook gets the doll section of the 1989 Sears Wishbook scanned in...
-
Yay! Thanks for the ID! I have the pink stripy shorts with the cocoa cup (?) on them!!!! :D
-
Zuse, I have found the 1992 fashion set that the dress with the cup belongs to:

Thanks! I honestly don't remember the other two at ALL so maybe they just repackaged it in 1992. I seem to think if I don't remember anything about getting it, I must have got it in the late 80s.
So cool to see it in-package. I'm not crazy! XD I wish I still had the belt...
-
It probably was repackaged. I've seen that red bathing suit in late 80s nautical themed fashion sets.
-
I saw a picture of the back of the "Fresh 'N Fun Fashions" line, and it IS the sixth fashion. :) Another one solved.
Now to figure out why that pink long-sleeved bolero jacket seems so familiar. Like, I feel like I can remember holding it (not just seeing the outfit in a picture).
