Anybody remember these?

My favorite one was the Where's Waldo one. My aunt still has it somewhere. I'm not sure I ever found Waldo?
(All of the following photos were nabbed from Worthpoint - aka old eBay auctions).

I think I used to have some Troll pens that were the same kind of concept. I think one was pink and the troll was sitting on a pot of told. The other was green and the troll was sitting on a sled.

Oh wow! I just saw some I Spy ones at Borders and asked the guy working there if he remembered them. He looked at me like I had two heads. I feel so old now. Well anyways just thought I'd let you know they are back. I had a keychain one with shells from Lake George.
-
Yes! I had the clear one... in fact I may still have it around here somewhere!

Somewhere else I saw that back in the day they made these kaleidoscopes that used them. Illusion Kaleidoscope by Wilde Wood Creative Products. 1989. Made in USA.

(Apparently a Beachcombers International, Inc. made something similar because there was a lawsuit).
One of their keychains:

My SpaceTube was from a gift shop. My parents brought it back to me after a trip in NYC. I wonder what attraction sold it? If I hadn't remembered that, I would have assumed I got it on one of our trips to NASA.

Wow! Is the Waldo one really worth like $100? There's one on eBay right now with a $99 bid on it:

Well, I think it's probably a popular collectible so I could see someone being willing to pay that if its the only one for sale. I don't know what they normally sell for when they come up. :)
-
I did a little Googling and it sounds like they are pretty valuable for some reason! I picked up one at a yard sale last summer.... I may throw it up on eBay and see if I can get the same!
-
My aunt has one somewhere. I may look for it next time I visit... just to play with! I'm not sure that I ever found Waldo?
-
Hubby could not find him in mine... but he's color blind so he really gave it a good try in searching! LOL
<edited to add.... whoa, I listed it on eBay and it already sold!>

Zuse, thank you for putting the kaleidoscope pictures on here. My granny had one and I just "inherited" one. I came on here to add the name "Space Tubes" to the thread and ended up learning a li'l something instead. :D

Oh wow! I love these! I know I had some glitter wands as a kid. Not sure if any were any particular brand.
I remember one time riding my bike with one stuck in the handle bar tube...went close to a wall and it broke in half. Was so annoyed.
I was crazy about them as a kid and got some when I was a little older too (around 9-11 years old) from a $2 stores they kept good too! No idea whatever happened to them.
I still really love 'glitter wands' (as I called them) and would love to buy them again!
