Title: Creepy made in Hong Kong dolls. 1960's?
Post by: shellyj444444 on Sunday 18 March 2012, 06:32 pm
Hello, I picked up these dolls at a sale today and I was hoping that someone had more info about them. They are only marked "Hong Kong" with no other markings. The smaller doll on the left has a soft rubber body. http://www.flickr.com/photos/76252166@N02/6847536276/in/photostream (http://www.flickr.com/photos/76252166@N02/6847536276/in/photostream)

I believe that the doll on the left is called a "naughty doll" by collectors because they're posed as if they're misbehaving... if you type in "Ugly rubber doll" on ebay, you'll find some more.

ECPBlue -- sorry that I forgot to warn you not to Google "Naughty Doll". Oops!

A few weeks ago there was a whole set of "Naughty Dolls" on ebay, each with a different face, but it's gone now.

Shelly, it may help if you posted a clearer or closer/bigger photo of the dolls.

These dolls are really cute.
If you google kitchy hawaiian dolls a bunch will show up.
She is supposed to have a grass skirt

Here are some cute ones on flickr

The more pin-up looking one is a naughty cake topper.
If you google pin-up cake topper you will see some that are kind of the same.

Hope this helps you out.
