I've just added a section for various TNT scented dolls, but need some help!
The Sweet Scents line had six fruit scented dolls and (I assume) six candy scented dolls. I've found all six of the fruit ones but am having a really hard time with the candy scented dolls. I've found three dolls so far and know the name of one more. I have also found images of two dolls which I believe are candy scented but don't know their names.
Take a look here:
http://www.ghostofthedoll.co.uk/Toys_TNT_SweetScents.htm
Can anyone help with more images or names?
As for Blooming Babies, I've only found images of two of the dolls, but assume there were at least six in the set. Does anyone have any more of these dolls or know if they had names?
http://www.ghostofthedoll.co.uk/Toys_TNT_BloomingBabies.htm
Unknown TNT Scented Dolls
And lastly, during my research I found two long haired dolls with ringlets which are supposed to be scented but don't fit in with the Sweet Scents or Blooming Babies line. Does anyone know who they are or have any more of them?

These are the ones I have, but I have no clue where they fit into the line:

Thanks Jana. What do they smell of ? ;)
-
The painted lips on those are so different! I wonder what series this was.
-
The painted lips on those are so different! I wonder what series this was.
Hmm, so they are! You inspired me to dig them out.
I have a few with the traditional Sweet Scents faces, but they are not in their right outfits so they are of course no help :P However, they do provide me with a nice comparison with the ones I posted.
They look to be obviously related- same body, same eye style, same hairdos. But, as Eilonwe was onto, they have a different head mold. The older lipless ones are stamped "TNT" and the ones I posted are stamped "2000 TT." So, a later version perhaps?
The unknown doll with blue hair that is under consideration as a Candy Scent doll appears to be like mine. This places it later, so it probably is not a Candy Scent doll.
Now, for your further consideration, I give you my two other discoveries:
Both seem to be in their original dresses. Perhaps there is a fairy tale line as well?
Both smell like old doll :P
-
:o FAIRY TALES?! I love fairy tales!
Must find some...
ETA: The dark-skinned girl has a face like the two unknown ringlet girls (the eyelashes are the same). I wonder if they were fairy tale girls, too!
-
I have 2 of those, I guess they are from the candy line? I'll have to get you a pic of the one.. the other is just like the unknown purple haired doll in the striped dress.
-
I've updated the TNT dolls pages to reflect the findings so far. Are the fairytale style dolls or the smiling lips dolls scented at all?
-
The fairy tail style ones are not scented at all (at least not any more) while the pink haired doll with the blue ribbons had a sort of vanilla smell- it was hard to ID, and frankly, I'm not sure if it didn't pick up the scent off other dolls I have in the drawer with it. It does smell nice though :)
Inconclusive, sadly.
-
Hey I've Seen One Of These Before. I So Forgot The Name, But The One I Was About To Get Had Lime Green Hair/Mint Green Hair. I Think She Was The Watermelon One.
-
Here is one wearing overalls:
http://texaswatertowers.com/kayandlyn/tnt.html
She looks very similar to the mint doll but with with the slightly different outfit.
EDIT: Nevermind, looked at my mint doll at home and realized that this is just the mint doll without her skirt!
-
Could the fairy tale ones have been international dolls? Sometimes traditional dress of other countries looks similar to fairy tale outfits.
-
Perhaps, but it's really the Snow White-looking one that brings the fairy tale thing to mind. Do you see any specific ones that you think could be international outfits? The only one I can see that sort of fits is the brown-ringleted one in the blue dress on the unknown page, but I don't know what country she would be.

Lot of various fakies (but outfits switched?)
This one is from a SSC Collector's site:

I had 3 TNT dolls. I could be mistaken, but I'm almost positive each one came with one of these: (which I still have) a bathtub, a high chair, and a stroller. They're in the attic at the moment, but I think they were hot pink and purple.
I think two of them had the short and curly hair cuts, and only one had long hair.
I look forward to finding out more about them. I really miss their smells.

(Already posted this under something else, but figured you'd want to see it too! ^^)

Two more pics:

I know nothing about them.

Another random grouping. I love that Remco Lifesavers doll up at the top! :P
-
Thanks for the extra two images Zuse (I can't see the group image in the post above though).
I've been emailed two more unknown dolls, so have updated that page. I've grouped them slightly differently as I've noticed that there are three different face styles now:
(http://www.ghostofthedoll.co.uk/Toys/SweetScents/Eyes1.jpg) (http://www.ghostofthedoll.co.uk/Toys/SweetScents/Eyes2.jpg) (http://www.ghostofthedoll.co.uk/Toys/SweetScents/Eyes3.jpg)
http://www.ghostofthedoll.co.uk/Toys_TNT_UnknownDolls.htm
-
Cool!
Maybe the first two are more SSC and the last one is more like Cherry Muffin (the face is less flat). Luckily none of these fakies are quite as creepy as the My Little Angel Ertl dolls. :P
Oh, and I reloaded the group picture you couldn't see. Nothing too interesting, though, so you weren't missing much. I think some of them have mixed up clothing as well.
-
Yay! More distinction. I definitely had the ones with the left faces. :3

The one in the blue dress makes me think of Alice in Wonderland...
-
Augh, there are so many! I may have to limit myself to buying MOC ones only.
-
is anyone bidding on this atm?
http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-SWEET-SCENTS-TNT-DOLL-LOT-LIKE-SSC-FAKIES-/130385690264?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e5b97be98
-
Yup, I did! Although I won't pursue it if I'm outbid. I have to not go crazy with these, so I'm restricting myself to MOC ones only. Except for the ringletted girls with Face #2. I'd like an example of those in my collection, but I'm not as attached to the blonde in this lot.
I won this lot earlier:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250616156821
I'll be putting my extras from that one up for sale here.
-
The one in the blue dress makes me think of Alice in Wonderland...
There's definitely a fairytale theme going on here. Do you have a bigger image of the Alice style doll I could add to the TNT Unknown section by any chance?
-
Nope, the small image was all I could find (it was from an old auction I found with Google, I believe).
-
Yup, I did!
if you win would you be selling the dolls on? I'm interested in the blueberry doll but I can't afford to bid on the whole lot ^__^
-
The only one I'd definitely sell is the grape one. I already have her. I might let go of the bride, too, just because she doesn't appeal to me that much. The others are ones I don't have.
-
Yes, they do seem to be very hard to find, I'm not surprised you want to hold on to them :) good luck with it anyway hope you get them!

I bought the dark-skinned girl today and she still has her factory ringlets. Unfortunately, she's wearing a kelly dress instead of her own. She's really cute.
-
Here are some more pics of the pretty unknown TNT dolls. Some can be added to the page Ghost has made here http://ghostofthedoll.co.uk/Toys_TNT_SweetScents.htm
Three pics are from Ebay, the 2 with light backgrounds are dolls I own, but pics taken by Prancearton, whom I bought them from.

-
Maybe this line with the curls is something to do with Hollywood or glamour or something? If they are scented I imagine it would be perfume scented. I'd love to see one of these still on card.
-
I have a photo of one of these unknown tnt dolls it has pink hair but the out fit on this doll do not match any of the ones on the page so far. the photo is here:

So, it looks like Dream Girl was the name of this line, with Sweet Scents and Little Curlz as their group names.
I shall create a new tab within the TNT Scented Dolls section just for them!

Sorry for bumping an old thread.
Not sure of what help (if any) this will be but here are two that I have;
I didn't see the one on the right listed anywhere, unless I just overlooked her.
Her hair is in a ponytail rather than pigtails.
Could anybody let me know which ones these are? :) Just curious. Thanks so much!
:) Emi xx

I've added in the six Story Book Treasures doll now. I though maybe the doll in the white wedding dress was part of this line but she's not:
