I saw this outfit today and it brought back memories of a Barbie outfit I had. I just remember having a cape like that but as a kid I would use it like an "apron" sometimes. The thing is - I don't remember that dress at all (and I would have loved it). I did have the pink lace outfit from that same line so there's a chance I had that set, though.
Were there any other Barbie outfits from that time that had the cape? I don't remember if it was gold or not.

I'm hoping you can be a bit more specific. Did the cape come with a barbie or in an outfit package? Can you give an approximate year you might have been playing with it? Was it a solid color, ruffled? Did it tie with velcro or straps? Was it multicolored (even if you can't remember the specific color or not) or solid in color? Was it shiny or sparkly?
The description about the pink dress is also vague. It would help to know the style of that dress from the line (ballgown, long, short, straps or strapless, ruffles, sparkles etc.) and also an approximate year. Seeing as if I were to try and track down a pink dress from the line (if you know what specific line, do tell) it would pull up many different varieties of pink lacey barbie dresses.
