I am sure that this is going to be quite difficult as I have been on the hunt for 10 years with no luck.
In the 80s at the time of the cabbage patch craze my mother was unable to find a Cabbage patch Kid for Christmas so my grandmother sewed me one. Unfortunately, I have no pictures (no idea why). This doll had purple hair and looked exactly like the Martha Thelma Thomas dolls but I have so far been unable to find a Martha Thelma Thomas one that has purple hair. It was not one of the Funny Face Martha Thelma Thomas dolls - no clown face. And the other purple haired doll heads I have seen don't have that distinct Martha Thelma Thomas Nose.
I am hoping that someone on here possibly had a similar doll, or has come across one on a sale site. I would love to replace this doll, but havn't been able to find a doll with the purple hair.
Thanks so much for any help that you are able to provide!

There were a lot of cpk style doll kits out there in the 80's.
Some types to search would be:
Sweet Love Kids

Coconut Kids by Darice (many different head molds)

Just some possible styles to check. Good luck!
