Title: Olympic bear figurine?
Post by: kiddy2468 on Tuesday 03 October 2017, 03:52 am
Now this was a small figurine that my grandma had when I was little she got it in a bag of mixed toys from a garage sale. I remember there were Care Bears and cabbage patch kids figures in the bag along with animals but this one little brown bear really stood out. He was small and had a little hole at the top of his head I'm guessing that it was for a string or something. And just like a Care Bears tummy symbol it had one too but it was Olympic Rings in the middle of its tummy. So maybe from the older Olympics because the area that my grandma lives in the houses were built in the early 1970s so maybe from that time frame or from the 1980s. I only remember this much but I don't know what happened to the bear it doesn't seem to be in with the other toys at all. So can anyone help me out?

It sounds like Misha, the mascot from the games in 1980.

I think you are right it does look a lot like the one my grandma had but I still remember the little ring on the top of its head like it was meant for string to go through or something. But I am pretty sure it was Misha the bear.
