Thank you, and I've found out the dog is Barkley from Sesame Street

you're welcome (I thopugh that dog was familiar) the red thing looks to be a missile but i don't know from where I'm part of an action figure i.d place on facebook i could post it there if you give permission.

I've been told the missile is from the Fisher Price Great Adventures line of figures from mid late 90s :)
