Title: [3 of 5 ID-ed] Can anyone ID these Barbie items?
Post by: Lauralovelylocks on Saturday 10 July 2010, 01:12 pm
Hello! I would love more info about the following Barbie items. If anyone could help, I'd be sooooo  :D!!!!

First, I have this little selection of food:
I know that this all came as a set, with other food items. I would love to see photos of the box/packaging and to determine whether it is definitely Barbie. Could it be Sindy? - ID: Barbie's Dream Furniture Refrigerator/Freezer Accessories

Next, there's this cute dressing table set:
Again, I would love to know if it's definitely Barbie? And did it come with anything else? And I'd love to see it mint in packaging, if at all possible.

Two combs next:

This orange fish comb has 'Mattel' on it. Any idea which doll it came with?

purple star comb - ID: Totally Hair Ken (or Ultra Hair Ken in the UK)

Finally, there's this Skipper outfit:
Now, I'm confused with this one. I can only remember having one Skipper doll - the 'sport' one who came in striped tights and pink leotard. So did this outfit come with the sporty Skipper as an extra outfit? Could you buy this outfit separately? Or did it only come ON a Skipper doll? - ID: Skipper's So Active Wear

SO many questions, I know!!! Sorry!!!!  :-[ But honestly, any help would be fantastic!

Thanks for looking xxxx

The purple star comb looks really familiar. Lil Miss Makeup??? That's the first thing to pop into my head. I'm also thinking of Totally Hair Barbie?

UPDATE: AH HA! Its from Totally Hair Ken!!! http://www.manbehindthedoll.com/totallyhairfe.htm
It's kind of hard to see the comb in the pic, but if you check out the other dolls in the Totally Hair line they all come with the same comb but in different colors. It's definetly the one.

Ahhh, that makes sense, as I have that Ken! He's called Ultra Hair Ken in the UK.

Many thanks!

Ok, so the food, etc in photo 1 IS Barbie - it's from the 'Dream Furniture' range - it came with the refrigerator/freezer.

Although, I can't remember owning the fridge/freezer, so I'm wondering if the food was also sold separately????

Also, the vanity set could possibly be from the Barbie Dream House Finishing Touches range...????

Here's a link to an image of the Barbie refrigerator/freezer with accessories. They're different colours but definitly the same items:

I believe the dolphin comb came with the Barbie Mermadia sets (the first release), specifically the short fat mermaids (not the skinnyish ones). My kids had this set a few years ago and we have a comb like that.
