The dress looks homemade to me. I think your doll is a dancing princess doll. There were quite a few lines made.

There were even bootlegs made of these dolls.

Thanks Pika! That first link is really great, I'm a Disney princess fan and I have never seen most of those lines before. However, I don't see any that look exactly like my doll. The line I think looks most like her is the Perfume Princesses, but she does not have the hole in her back.

I do not believe that the dress is homemade--the stitching is machine-sewn and tinier than I would expect of a standard home sewing machine (especially the serging on the white overskirty bits). I also could have sworn that I've seen Cinderella in a red holiday gown before. But it's entirely possible that I'm (a)underestimating America's home sewers and (b) making things up.  :D

I thought at first she might be from the Perfume Princesses (I wanted them so bad every time I saw them!)

In the picture you posted before the dress looked homemade from the angle the picture was taken.  :-[

YAY Thanks so much Batty! I was up half the night trying to track her down. What a cute little set! I wonder if the other princesses were made too? I shall have to look.

@pika: I'm sorry, I know it was a bad picture!  :-[ It really did look homemade in that photo because all you could see was the bottom of the dress, which is not hemmed. I changed it so that the rest of the dress was visible. Thank you for your help!

I found her by searching for "Holiday Cinderella" since Christmas didn't work. ^-^ You are welcome.

Batty beat me!  Great pic :)

The doll that you have and that batty pictured is actually smaller than those posted by pikapal (yours should be about 3-4 inches whereas the others are about 8 inches).

I believe in your scale just Cinderella, Belle, and Snow White were released.  I always wanted Aurora but she never came!

Yes, 3-4" sounds about what she would be with complete legs! Do you happen to have any pictures of the Belle and Snow White dolls? I've been trying to find others, but all I can find is the Cinderella set.

Sure thing!  As usual, my pics are of so so quality (taken awhile ago and in a hurry), but here they are:

I *think* I have snow white's dress now but I would have a hard time tracking it down in any timely fashion :)

Thank you Zap! These are a really cute line, so sad that they never made the others. :(
