I know I've spammed quite a bit of my memory tonight, but this is the last one, I promise!
Ghost of the Doll, I'd like you to meet Cuddle Bear.

When I was too little to remember, my grandparents gave him to me for Christmas. (about 1991-ish) He's rather large for a teddy bear and apparently used to be soft and silky... before he became my favorite toy and endured little kid adventures (including but not limited to: being vomited on, swimming, haircuts, "surgery" to repair a hole, etc. You get the idea). Keep in mind that he is in loved condition, going through the washing machine quite a few times and literally having the stuffing in his middle hugged out of him, so I doubt that he was sold looking as ratty as this! His nose used to be fuzzy too, like it was flocked or felted, but all of that has since rubbed off.
I'm 22, so I'd guess he's 20 years old at the youngest. Grandma told me later that she found him at a local midwestern USA department store at the time called Hills, and later Ames. She also told me that she thought he was a dog at first until she gave him to me, so he might actually be a dog... but I doubt it. That's really the only information I can give. He has no tags or anything. He might have had a hang tag back in the day, but it's been too long to really tell.
If I don't get an official ID, it's okay and not the end of the world, but if anyone does have some info about where he came from, I'd like to know. Perhaps if there are others out there, I can find him a friend? He's very precious to me, being a gift from two grandparents that I've been very close to. He's the Woody to my Andy. I'm hugging him now actually!
