You know for toys that have painted parts you could always repaint them after you dye it. I think the little fairies would look really cute with brightly colored wings and flowers. Oh and don't forget to mark them as customs in an inconspicuous spot.

Yes I agree. Some paint reappears the original color after the dyebath (I used to dye Fisher Price Little People and the logos remained the same color). So yeah . . . perfecting things!!
