No, Im sorry I dont want to cause confusion. They have a similar style to Moon Dreamers type characters, I was unsure how to describe them. I have no idea what line they may be from, being sold as unknown. Thanks.

I have looked at pictures of the Moondreamers and I think that these are just knock-offs.

I saw something at the flea market this weekend that made me think of this post. It was a play set marked Playskool that had three or four of these sort of "vehicles" that spun in a circle when you pushed down a button in the middle. (The "vehicles" reminded me of a mixture of this and the Moondreamers animals. The center, though, was different.) Off to the side was a ferris wheel. If I go back this week or weekend, I will take a picture. :D

I found this hope it helps

I actually read that the toy didn't do very good and fell apart so maybe that is where these are from.

That's what I saw at the flea market. :)

And yeah, seeing them next to one another like that, it looks like that's what the pieces are from. :D

Here's the picture for the thread. :)

It seems to have the same mold as this set (but with different figures on the carousel):

Playskool Spin Around Carousel #5434 (1991)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/400242383755

I'm not sure why yours were packaged separately, though?

wow is that cute!  Nice job Zuse!!  Maybe they weren't sold separate but that they were able to come off so you could play with them by themselves as well?

I guess my question is - was the cellophane in the original post picture factory or not? Because obviously for this set they were sold attached to the carousel base, not included elsewhere in the box individually wrapped.

Well I read that the toy fell apart easily and the figures were sold separately and a lot cheaper. I'm guessing they sold extras if the original ones fell off or broke.

Oh, you mean the carousel animals cracked apart at the middle seam or something? :)
