[ID: Frou-Frou by Dakin] 1980s Plush troll/alien

Hello! I'm looking for help on identifying this little stuffed animal/troll/alien-guy.  He is approximately 6-8 inches tall.  I remember seeing him for sale at Kay-Bee Toy store (aka "KB Toys") around 1985 or 1986.  I seem to recall that they came in different colors for the hair and feet -- the one we had was green, but there may have been a yellow or purple?  Big head with lots of short/fuzzy hair, tiny eyes and mouth, and red plastic circle for a nose.

The one pictured here has been well-loved -- has lost an eye, and hair is pretty nappy at this point.  I remember the top of the head had a thin loop for hanging the toy up on display.  Unfortunately, the tag is completely faded out, so I don't know the manufacturer at this point, and I don't remember what it used to say.

One question though....after doing a search on Frou Frou plush dolls by Dakin, it looks like all of the dolls have a few characteristics that are lacking in my green Frou Frou doll:
1. They are all holding a flower or candy cane or something in their arms.
2. They all have velvet/plush noses, not plastic.
3. They all have long eyelashes, instead of pinpoint eyes.
4. It may be that I can't tell from the photos, but they don't seem to have the same type of mouth either.

I was looking around, and the facial features of my plush toy resemble Zuzzy by Amtoy (American Greetings), although the body and feet are definitely different, and I don't recall the doll having a scent.

Do you think that my old plush doll is a different version, or potentially a knock-off imitation, of the Dakin Frou-Frou?  Or do you think it is more likely that it was altered after being purchased -- I don't remember altering it, but it was a REALLY long time ago, and I was pretty young.

Yours does sort of look like a hybrid of the two. Strange...

Zuse, why is this in the Id'd section? He certainly isn't a Frou Frou and he's not a Zuzzy! We still need an ID for this little guy! (Partly because I want one, lol)

I think my grandma might actually have one of these somewhere. I'll have to check.
