Yay for having some Puppy in My Pocket experts here! I was never around any as a kid so they're a complete mystery to me.

Until I'd discovered your web site the only site I had was this one:

That dalmatian's name was Rook here in the U.S. and it came with a show stand. I really outta get mine out and write down their names for U.S. collectors since all you can find is the European names. I just don't know where to post them.

I can help with American Kitty In My Pocket names! Only kitties 1-25 had different names in the U.S., and actually when Irwin started selling IMPs in the later '90s, they used only the UK names. Anyway, here goes:

1-Magnetic, 2-Parker, 3-Rustic, 4-Probe, 5-Oxford, 6-Milky, 7-Outwit, 8-Adhezo, 9-Encore, 10-Fantasy, 11-Scrabble, 12-Erin, 13-Fingles, 14-Mural, 15-Nugget, 16-Polyanna, 17-Orient, 18-Lauren, 19-Pivot, 20-Aimee, 21-Coventry, 22-Meadow, 23-Motif, 24-Plunder, 25-Alarm

I hope I got those all right... Actually the only Collectafile I have with me right now is a UK one that I wrote the American names on when I was a kid, so hopefully I spelled them all right! Haha.

I just found my collection! I have the US ones from zuse's link, almost all of them! I've got the cards, two different pamphlets, a bunch of show stages and the border collie mommy & babies.

Anybody ever notice some of their white dogs turning a sickly glowing yellow? I call them my radioactive pups and bag them seperately in storage.

Blippo, my Rook from childhood has always (or for a long time, anyway) had a neon yellow tint to him. I never noticed it being passed onto other white IMPs, though. It may just be a plastic deterioration thing... sadly, IMPs were not super well-made toys. :(

Oh my God I absolutely love them! I was obsessed with them when they first came out and the obsession sort of never stopped lol! The best Christmas ever was when my Mum got me 2 unopened boxes of them as my main present and I just sat and opened them all, I think I maybe squeaked with excitement a hell of a lot lol!! The best way to fill in the gaps in my collection I'm finding is to visit a looot of carboots so you can buy them individually instead of in lots. Plus it's really exciting when you find them :)

I recently bought a lot of Pony In My Pockets, and they came with weird cards that I've never seen before. I took a picture of the front and back of the cards (on top), along with the "usual" cards (on the bottom):

These weird cards came from an American seller. The normal cards shown are British, but I have American ones that are just about the same, they just lack the little blurb about the character. You can see that the art is different, too - it's actually pretty atrocious compared to the normal art! Very digital airbrush-y.

Anyway, has anyone seen cards like these before, or know anything about them? I'm curious about where they fit into the timeline of IMPs.

The kitty in my pocket had these too. I think they are showing the statistics of the animals. I remember the newer kitty in my pocket having these cards with them but not the original ones . Sorry that I have no pictures or any more information on them.

Yup, they are the stats! The symbols correspond to the sides of the die that came with the Puppy IMP show set. If I remember correctly, I think all the American cards had symbols rather than writing.

Ah, so these cards DID come with newer IMPs... I thought they looked later. I'm going to tentatively date them at 1996... around that time, IMPs were nowhere to be found in my area, for some reason, so that would explain why I didn't have any of this kind. And by 1997, they were being produced by Irwin rather than Hasbro (in the U.S.). Thanks for your help, Rider of the storm! :)

I'm sure I still have some of these somewhere. They were the girl's equivalent of Monster In My Pocket.
