As a kid, I loved playing with small toy animal figurines, so one year, my mom got me some sort of pet store set that I absolutely LOVED. Sadly, I must have thrown most of them out/given them away because all that remain are a few odd accessories and two of the animals.
Here is what I remember:
Two Birds: a green-and-yellow toucan and a blue-and-purple unidentifiable bird. Very much like the colors of Trix Yogurt (Why I remembered them -- I called them Yogurt Birds!)
Two Dogs: I don't remember what they looked like, but I know at least one of them had its tongue sticking out.
Two Cats: I recently found the grey cat as if to prove I wasn't crazy. It's sticking out its tongue as well (which is why I know that there is a dog, because they used to be a "couple")
Mouse: A small grey mouse that is less than a centimeter long, possibly intended to be a cat toy
Birdcage: A blue, house-shaped cage with a pink roof and floor. (I still have this)
Pet bed: A yellow pet bed "basket" with two handles and a pink "pillow" on the inside. (I still have this too)
I believe the set also came with a few food dishes, but I can't remember if they were "filled" or not.
The entire set was made out of this weird plastic that felt squishy but wasn't. The animals were all VERY cartoony and simplistic, though the grey cat has some texture on her "fur."
I'm thinking my mom ordered them out of a holiday catalogue. Anyone know what these are? I will eventually post pictures of the few that remain.
