Crafting Toys

Okay, who else enjoyed crafting toys?

Here are my top 5 favorite crafting toys from childhood:

1. Lite Brite - I loved how colorful it was!  I do not like the new versions; give me the big white backed one that you plugged in and almost burnt yourself on from the light bulb's heat if you touched the back.  I remember having a My Little Pony refill set and loved it.

2. Fashion Plates - http://shesgot2haveit.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/fashionplates.jpg
I was obsessive about Fashion Plates.  I had the set I put the link up for and a wedding set.  I could play with Fashion Plates for hours.  Played with them so much, I would wear down the black wax crayon that came with them to the point where they couldn't fit in the pink holders.  This was an awesome toy that needs to come back.

3. Potholder Craft Loops - http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/b/0/0/f6/b/AAAAC9UlufkAAAAAAPa_uw.jpg?v=1286074357000
Anyone else use to make these as a kid?

4. Spirograph - http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_7IOC66m-yKI/TDL7BCqvVFI/AAAAAAAAAEQ/PdvwExMQu4A/s1600/SpirographBox86.jpg
I wasn't too good at it, but I loved it.

5. Play Doh - In particular, I loved this set by Tyco under their Super Dough line:

Anyway, who else loved certain crafting toys?

Wow, I believe that's the same Fashion Plates set that I had! :D What brand is it?

I am pretty sure that I saw mix-and-match rub plates in a Family Dollar store within the past few years.

I'm fairly certain that the logo on the box is the Hasbro logo from back then, so I'd say Hasbro.

Oh, and I saw these recently:
Just not the same.  It spoils it with all of the background in there.  I'm guessing it really cuts down on the variety too.
