Restoring a poorly overpainted Glo Friend - best paint to use??
« on: Tuesday 13 November 2012, 08:57 pm »
Hello, I have recently revived an old childhood favourite of mine - Glo Friends!  :D

Unfortunately, one of the GF's I have added to my little collection, the sweet Butterfly, has been overpainted on her wings and the colour match isn't very good.

Has any one had any experience of repainting/restoring these please? I have read that acrylic paint is best, as enamel can blister the vinyl. However, a lot of acrylics say they only work on porous surfaces, which vinyl obviously isn't!

Thanks!!

P.S - I would like to restore my Glo Friend for myself and don't intend to 'restore and resell' or anything (and in any case I would always state this if I did!)
