Wacky Pet Keepers - Sonic (2005)

So, a few years ago at Sonic their "Wacky Pack" toy was little pets in carriers.





I just thought they were the cutest thing (especially with my vintage LPS obsession).

Here are the ones I have:


I think I also have the turtle and dog loose somewhere that I bought at a later time.

Anyways, I've also come across Sonic carriers identical to these but in different colors. They also have a tiny little name tag attached to the keychain. So, were those an earlier version? Did they have PVC pets as well? Sonic web site only has the most current toy line.



See how the keychain is different? And it was on eBay, so I don't know if the ferret figure came with it or that's just how they divided up the toys for a lot...

So, I found some of my other pieces. Here are the other two carriers from 2005


Here are the two pets. I'm not certain which pet goes with which carrier.


And on to the mystery of the other style of carrier! I have two! Instead of reading "2005" on the bottom, these say "2001 ADIT." The newer ones read "2005 ADIT."


Also, I believe they just recycled the pet figures


The top one reads (C) 2001 ADIT Made in China, while the 2nd one (2005 release) simply says "Coney." That's the name of the dog character. So, I think I've solved that mystery! I definitely like the color cheme for the 2005 release the best!

AWWW I love these. I would have been all over the ferret when I still collected ferret stuff. I have since sold all of my ferrety collection. I might still have to have this one. I love that it comes with a little carrier.

I saw these mixed in with a lot of barbie/littlest pet shop pets on Ebay and thought they were really cute.

I think they are among my favorite fast food toys ever.

I like those, especially how they match/coordinate with their carriers.

I like these toys but we do not have any sonic fast food places where I live the nearest one is in Tennessee, and that is too far to drive just to eat, and get a toy.

Most of their toys aren't that cute. Although I do like the plush "Tots" line. I have a panda one.

I believe this is the bunny and iguana from the line (with a couple of carriers that I had, though I don't know which animals they go with):



Pretty sure I have the cat from the line somewhere too, but didn't find mine in time for the picture...it's white with red stripes and a red hair bow, and kinda shaped like a Roomba with legs and a tail. Ooh, here, found an eBay pic of one:

wow they are soo cute! sadly we do not have any sonics here in the area at all it is more of a further south thing! i am almost tempted to try and look for these!

Ooo! I have two of the rabbit and one of the cat. But no lizard! Darn!

That cat is funny looking and now I want it . I want the iguana too it is has a nice color combo.

So, the 2001 release I think was the orange dog (Coney), the blue lizard, the circular white cat, and the black and white rabbit/dog thing?
